DMCA and copyright notices

How to send a copyright notice about a public post someone saved, and how a counter-notice works. Last updated 5 November 2026.

ThreadsVideoDL does not host a public gallery of Threads videos. Files are fetched when a visitor pastes a link and are not kept as a catalog. If you believe a page on this website itself infringes your copyright — for example, copied text or an image we published — send a notice to dmca@threadsvideodl.com.

A complete notice should include: your physical or electronic signature; the work you own; the URL on threadsvideodl.com you want addressed; your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or the owner’s agent. That is the core of a DMCA notice used in the United States. If you are outside the United States, include the same facts so we can understand the claim.

We do not control Threads. If the file lives on Threads and you want it removed at the source, you also need Meta’s own reporting tools. Removing a help page here does not delete a creator’s post.

If you believe a notice about your content was wrong, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with your signature, identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to jurisdiction as the DMCA requires. We may forward a counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice.

Notices that are incomplete, or that are only “please shut down the entire site,” will be answered with a request for the missing details. Abusive or automated notices that do not identify a work are not acted on.
