In the Threads app, tap Share on the public post and tap Copy link.

Open this page in Safari, paste the link, and tap Load media. Use Safari rather than Chrome for the actual save.

Download, then Save Video

Tap Download. Open Files, find the clip under Downloads, tap Share, and choose Save Video so it appears in Photos.

iOS does not drop web videos straight into the camera roll the way some people expect. The extra Share step is normal. A private tab, a content blocker, or Low Data Mode can interrupt large files. If the button seems to do nothing, check Files before you assume the download failed. iPad uses the same Safari path.
